Artist BackgroundMy name is Marisa Vittoria Cappetta. I am an Australian jeweler and artist, currently residing in Christchurch New Zealand. I have a BA Vis Arts from Curtin University in Western Australia with a major in jewelry and a minor in fibre/ textiles. I draw inspiration from nature for some of my forms and images. I've developed iconography inspired by the four elements that I use primarily in my machine embroidered works. My drawings often reflect my dreams. To indulge my love of poetry, I may include poems and excerpts of poems that I feel enhance or explain the vision. |
