I checked the blog. !!! Nice photos! They just whet my ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Wow, what a wonderful idea - I've been trying to think of things I have seen recently which could match, but going to the local food store somehow doesn't seem to measure up. Anne ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey Brook! I love the website, it's great.... Val (Thanks Val, I've made the appropriate changes) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (Thanks. Changes made. Glad to see Snow Crash fans out there. ) (Thanks for all your help Hiro. I can't find the links problems you mention. What browser are you using?) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Very much enjoying your travelogue and photos. Allison ---------------------------------------------------------------------- A big, but gentle pat on the back. We are looking forward to our NZ trip come July (I know, dead of winter, but we're on a school schedule here in USA) and your diary and photos are great additions to the guidebooks we're reading. Thanks so much and enjoy your stay. Be safe. Grace ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Very enjoyable Brooklyn - as a born and bred South Islander living in the North Island for years it's made me quite nostalgic. I miss the mountains and yes, even the rain of the west coast. Elizabeth ---------------------------------------------------------------------- An interesting read and photos. We have just got back from 3 weeks in NZ (2 in south and 1 in north) and have visited many of the places you mention. We were in the Camelot Cathedral square for 3 nights at the end of Feb, then Tekapo, Queenstown, Wanaka, Te Anau and Dunedin. Paul (Let me know where you put your site Paul and we'll link to it.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Places you should visit: Hanmer Springs [wonderful in cold weather], Punakaiki, Blackball, and you should definitely do the Haast pass. Karamea is great too - make sure you visit the Oparara arch & the mirror tarn. Hiro Protagonist (Thanks Hiro and thanks for the help with the links problem. I'll put in a couple of blank lines as a quick fix. We've been told to go to Hanmer and sit in the pool when there's snow on the ground. I've seen pictures of this and it look's magical.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (About the Vans) The one on the rt is a converted school bus, the one on the left is a converted passenger van. Armand Vine ---------------------------------------------------------------------- When travelling to Queenstown etc, you don't need to go all the way down and inland via Pleasant Point, you can turn off at Rangitata and go via Geraldine [nice little town] to Fairlie. (Thanks, We'll try this on the next trip.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for the blog! It is an infectious read. We are planning a trip next (NZ) summer and your site has been a big help. Bill ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Great story! (July 2004) So glad you enjoyed the mountain! Maybe it's just me, but I'd Thanks for the feedback. The snow was fairly soft so I didn't get too many bruises. We're going to put up a photo gallery on the site.
---------------------------------------------------------------------- Loved it (July 2004). I think you should supply a wav. of you screaming like a girl, though.
~ Sooz I think I need a crash barrier heading towards me at high speed to get the correct note and pitch. :-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Good to see you made it to Geraldine 8-) You can also get there by going down SH1 and turning off at Rangitata, but SH1 is much more boring that the inland road. Well, you haven't steered me wrong yet. We are looking at a trip on the TranzAlpine to Greymouth soon. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey Brook Rehana ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I got your site from my ISPs news letter.
